Archetypal Landscapes and Inner Territories For over four decades, Hernan Villar has explored photography as a means of reflection, transformation and community.

 

Trained in both fine arts and analytical psychology, his work travels the borderlands between image and symbol, light and shadow.

His photographs are not merely visual - they are poetic thresholds into the unconscious, revealing archetypes, dreams, and the intimate terrain of memory. Rooted in Venezuela and expanded in New York, his practice bridges cultures and  epochs, always seeking the symbolic pulse that united them.
